A Typical Work Day May Include:Manage, coordinate, review, and participate in the activities related to the City’s geographic information systems (GIS) program.Prepare maps and displays for various projects and presentations.Perform GPS data collection to gather location and physical data of City infrastructure.Develop and perform quality control/assurance procedures on GIS data.Provide leadership and supervision to staff and delegate projects and tasks.Organize and perform topographic surveys using standard and GPS surveying equipment.
What You Will Need: Associate’s Degree in GIS, Computer Science, or related area, or two years of equivalent experience.Highly proficient in use of GIS-related software, products, and services, to include experience with ESRI software; specifically, ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise.Valid Kansas driver’s license and a good driving record.
What Will Put You Ahead:Bachelor degree in Geographic Information Services.Four years progressive experience.Supervisory experience.Four years work experience implementing GIS solutions with a focus on city-related infrastructure.Specific knowledge and understanding of city-related infrastructure and operations.
