Lisa, I don't show the government lots as full lines on my parcel maps, just tick marks. You're getting into a very technical/legal issue that surveyors deal with. There's the standard government 'correction' lots for each township then others along navigable rivers and I have a crazy set around a military reservation. Surveyors have to back to the original documents to see if the first transfer was by government lots or quarter sections, it can be a significant difference, and the subsequent deeds don't always match, switching back and forth between government lots and quarter sections which can cause legal problems.
