options for migrating historical features mapping project from Arcmap10 to Windows 11

Will ArcGIS for Personal Use for $100/year have the capability to continue my mapping Kaw Valley history project that I created in Arc10? Getting ready for Windows 11 and wont be able to load Arc10, correct?

To a base map of gis layers I've been creating shapefiles to add info from historical maps and documents that been collecting. The historical features include missions, inns, cemeteries, schools, ferries and bridges, villages (Kanza and Potawatomi), trading posts, mills, lost towns and roads, and trails.

PS Does anyone know if something like this exists already?

Will need to be able to continue to add/edit shapefiles, overlay topos and imagery. Would like to have hyperlinks to photos, maps, and info.

    Interested in hearing options.

I'm a retired State of Kansas mapper, pondered doing something like this for years. My goal is to help people see what was here before. Thanks

I'm not sure about your migration question, but as for if anyone else is mapping historical information, the Kansas Historical Society does. They map both archeological sites (only available for viewing if you meet certain requirements) and historic sites and structures (KHRI). You might want to compare what you have with what they have and add to it.
